| Film Club | 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month | Fraser Heights’ Film Club aims to provide a space for aspiring cinephiles and film lovers alike! The club’s purpose focuses on forging relationships among students to discuss their various interests in the film and television media and even recommend them. On the 1st Wednesday of every month, we would gather with a set genre (recommended by members or decided by executives) in mind. Members would get a chance to recommend movies in said genre and vote on which one they’d want to watch for the month. On the 3rd Wednesday, we would regroup again to discuss the movie. Blurbs from these discussions would be posted to our official Instagram page for people that may not be members, looking to watch a new film. | Mr. Zboya |

| Her Voice Club | Mondays at Lunch Portable 10 | Her Voice Club at Fraser Heights Secondary School is committed to educating our students about the difficulties that women today face while also encouraging and supporting women especially those who are dealing with societal concerns in Surrey. Our club's goal is to establish a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere where students can get together to discuss topics including domestic abuse, unfair pay, and gender inequality, and much more. We hope to increase awareness of these concerns among Fraser Heights students and give practical support to women in need through seminars, care packages, and fundraisers. Our club, which is led by dedicated and industrious students, is dedicated to reaching these objectives. We plan to hold workshops to educate and involve the school community, in addition to planning monthly fundraising and volunteering events to support local women's shelters and organizations. Our goal is to encourage research and critical thinking abilities while diving into significant historical moments, individuals, and civilizations. We aim to create a connection between the past and present by means of conversations, debates, and potential re-enactments. This strategy encourages members to draw lessons from history and apply them to current events. | Medical Research Club | 11:10-11:40am on Tuesdays biweekly in Portable 6 | The Medical Research club offers a community for aspiring students at Fraser Heights, interested in medical sciences. We provide an environment for students, encouraging them to share their passions and ideas, and collaborating with members. Our focus will be conducting original research or participating in existing studies, possibly in partnership with local universities or hospitals. Additionally, this club will run fundraising events, like the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute. This gives students the opportunity to develop skills in research and medical education, while being apart of a team and having impact. | Philosophy Club | Wednesdays afterschool Room 216 | In a typical Ethics Bowl meeting, students discuss and analyze case studies that involve political, social, or economic dilemmas. Students practice their public speaking and critical thinking skills by splitting up into two teams and proposing solutions to ethical issues. While STEM fields have a considerable amount of resources within our school, literature opportunities are relatively limited comparatively.
