Night School Registration

Spring Registration is open.

The Spring semester starts in February 2025 and ends in June 2025.

Our office closes for the holidays at 8pm on December 19th and reopens January 6th at 3pm. Happy Holidays. ?

Our online registration remains open.

QECE offer evening classes to students 16 years of age* and older. Classes are in person, and you will attend two days a week per course.

Monday & Wednesday – 3:45pm to 6:20pm or 6:30pm to 9:05pm & select classes starting at 5:00pm or 6:00pm

Tuesday & Thursday – 3:45pm to 6:20pm or 6:30pm to 9:05pm & select classes starting at 5:00pm or 6:00pm

*Students must be 16 before July 1, 2023 or born before July 1, 2008 to attend classes with us. This date is given to us by the Ministry of Education. We cannot change it, nor can we make exceptions!

Please bring the following documents with you when you come to the office to register--see below. You will also need to have a copy of these documents available when you complete the online registration.

Citizenship Document 

 Canadian Citizens:

  • Canadian Passport
  • Canadian Birth Certificate
  • Nexus Card
  • First Peoples Status Card

 Others: 

  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Refugee Document
  • Study Permit (Birthdate on or after June 30, 2005 – No Course Charge)
  • Study Permit (Birthdate on or before July 1, 2005 - $1200 per course)
  • Visitor Visa (must be valid for the entire semester - $1200 per course)
  • Work Permit (presently not accepted)

Photo ID

  • Driver’s License
  • BC Services Card
  • BC ID

Proof of Residency in BC

If the address on the photo ID does not match what you have written on the registration, provide one of the following:

  • rental agreement 
  • utility bill
  • government-issued mail
  • mortgage statement
  • property tax document

Other Important Info 

  1. There is a Student Fee--the fee is $20 for an Adult Student and $10 for a School Age Student.
  2. Classes are free for most students. If you are an international fee-paying student, each class is $1,200.
  3. Textbooks will be rented to students for a fee (from $20 to $200, depending on the course), and the fee (deposit) will be returned when the textbook is returned in good condition.
  4. If a workbook is required (e.g. some math and science courses use a workbook), the fee is $30 and that fee is non-refundable as you will be using the book for course work.
