BASES
BASES is an acronym that stands for Building Academic, Social, (and) Employment Skills. Students who are enrolled in the BASES program have a moderate to profound intellectual disability and a need for a modified individualized educational program. In our BASES program, it is our belief that all students have a tremendous ability to learn and grow at their time at Queen Elizabeth Secondary. Together, we create Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) that are designed for each individual and their unique needs. In our BASES classes, students work on functional academics, academics, social and personal skills, life skills and community integration. Our goal is to have our students develop their independence and self-confidence in whatever path they follow after highschool.
