Surrey & White Rock students deck the halls and give back this holiday season!
The new year is almost here, and as we ring in 2025, we’d like to take a look back at how the holiday spirit filled the halls of elementary and secondary schools throughout Surrey and White Rock!
From decorations to donations, here are just a few things students and staff did to celebrate the season!
Mrs. Ladhar’s kindergarten class at Colebrook Elementary got artsy for the holidays, .
Ray Shepherd Elementary held its , and Lena Shaw Elementary is currently in its : Red & Green Day on Monday, Winter Hat Day on Tuesday, Sparkle Day on Wednesday, Festive Sweater Day on Thursday and Pajama Day on Friday.
Crescent Park Elementary students spread an important holiday message – – as they participated in ICBC’s Think of Me campaign, an annual campaign in which students draw anti-impaired driving messages on paper bags that are distributed at BC Liquor Stores over the holidays.

Humanities students at Guildford Park Secondary helped out at the , and woodworking students designed and donated doll cribs for the bureau to distribute.
Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary held its annual Hamper Drive, collecting donations for the Cloverdale Community Kitchen. The Hamper Drive is an important traditions for the Cloverdale secondary school and showcases the social responsibility and citizenship of students. Panther Pride!
Grandview Heights Secondary hosted its , raising money and gathering donations for the Surrey Food Bank, while nearby Earl Marriott Secondary hosted its , gathering used coats and boots for those in need of winter clothing.
